I admit it….I’m a lipstick lover.  With a collection of over 100 different lip products and still counting, you could say I’m sort of obsessed with this one beauty product.  I didn’t always think that I could, or even SHOULD wear lipstick.   I mean I’ve got big lips.  My cousins called them “soup coolers” when we were kids.  They are full, thick, and pigmented; most people with lips the size of mine or larger tend to shy away from lipstick.

So how did I become the girl with the juicy lips who loves to rock lipstick?  It was a process of sorts.  You see, I’ve always loved makeup but it took me a while to develop my own style and learn technique. Actually, foundation and mascara were fairly easy to master, but let’s face it, they’re not that exciting.  I just recently became brave enough to add blush to my routine, and love it. I’ll be honest; I still struggle with applying eye shadow.  If it’s more than two colors, I’m cashing out.  So my makeup option of choice became lipstick.  It’s easy to apply, and I realized long ago that I looked GOOD in it!  You’ll  pry my lipstick from my dead cold hands!

I love lipstick because it has the ability to transform any look. Whether you are wearing makeup or not, with one quick 30-second swipe  you instantly look a bit more “together.”  It brightens your face and whitens your teeth—the right shade, of course. When I’m not particularly in a good mood a swipe of lipstick makes me feel so much better!
